Most content calendars die by week 2 because they take too long to fill out. This method uses AI to generate a full month's plan in 15 minutes—realistic, varied, and tailored to your brand.
Step 1: Give AI Your Context (3 min)
Start with this prompt:
"You are my content strategist. My business: [describe]. My target audience: [describe]. My platforms: [Instagram/LinkedIn/TikTok]. My content pillars are: [pillar 1], [pillar 2], [pillar 3]. My brand voice: [describe]. I post [X] times per week."
Step 2: Generate Ideas for the Month (5 min)
"Generate 20 content ideas for next month. For each idea, include: content pillar, format (carousel/reel/static/story), headline/hook, brief description, and CTA. Vary between pillars and formats. Include any relevant trending topics or holidays."
Step 3: Detail Your Best Ideas (5 min)
Pick the 4-5 ideas you like most and ask AI to develop them: "Write a complete caption for post #3 in my brand voice. Also suggest a photo idea and 10 hashtags."
Step 4: Schedule in Your Tool (2 min)
Transfer the calendar to Canva Content Planner, Later, or a simple spreadsheet. You now have a full month of content planned.
Tips for Keeping It Going
Do this once a month. Use 15 minutes on Sunday evening. Build in 2-3 "flex days" in your calendar for reacting to trends or spontaneous ideas. And remember: an imperfect calendar you actually use beats a perfect one you never create.
